Welcome to the WSWD2024: 7th International Conference on “Empowering
Communities: The Role of Social Work for Sustainable Future” jointlyhosted by
Community Social Work Practice and Development Foundation (CSWPDF), Dhaka,
Bangladesh and Daegu Council on Social Welfare, South Korea.
Focusing on the theme “Empowering Communities: The Role of Social Work for
Sustainable Future” this important academic conference aims to unite global
experts and scholars who are dedicated to issues related to the Global SDGs. Our
objective is to collectively explore and research aspects of social development,
professional growth of global social work, educational advancement, and research
collaboration within these communities, with an emphasis on the practical
application of research findings. We invite academics, researchers, social work
practitioners, scholars, and stakeholders from around the world to actively
participate in research and practice collaborations. Through cross-cultural and
interdisciplinary exchanges and cooperation, we seek to foster knowledge and
innovation in social and academic developments concerning the SDGs and social
work globally.
This conference serves not only as a platform for academic exchange but also as
an opportunity to enhance understanding, build connections, and expand
perspectives. We eagerly anticipate exploring the scope of practicing social work
to achieve sustainable societies with scholars from around the world and
collaborating to create a more inclusive, equitable, and opportunity-rich global
community.
We cordially invite you to join and contribute to this significant event, where we aim
to translate evidence into practice for achieving the SDGs to help communities
worldwide. We welcome research abstracts in all substantive areas, adopting
innovation via community led approaches that are grounded in indigenous wisdom
and harmonious coexistence with nature. Utilizing scientifically robust qualitative
and/or quantitative methodologies, this event promotes researches that can be
conducted at the micro, macro, or policy levels, encompassing various forms of
inquiry.

View moreCommunity Social Work Practice and Development Foundation (CSWPD Foundation) is a non-political, non-profitable and community based action oriented organization committed towards bringing a sustainable resilient community through the empowerment of the disadvantaged, oppressed and back warded as well as psycho-socially problematic group of the society especially poor, destitute women and helpless children, transgender, ignorance, domestic violence, drug addiction, violation of rights and susceptibility find themselves deprived and oppressed in many ways. This organization works with other national and international level organizations bridging communication gap and perform teamwork to contribute for the society in community development and social change. The main purpose of this organization is economic development and community empowerment through the principles of community participation, self-help, solidarity, integration, community resilience and capacity building, community resource mobilization, safe waste management and sanitation, health hygiene and nutrition, skill training, life skill and vocational education promotion, income generating activities and so on.
WE have been conducting various activities keeping core focus on Community Rebuilding and Resilience towards achieving SDGs # 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities along with other SDGs focuses. We always try to address contemporary community issues and bring those into light to create mass attention due to get sustainable resolution. Over the last couple of months, the entire world has been suffering and became overwhelmed with the unscheduled and unexpected havoc of COVID19, which was declared as Global Pandemic and Global Human Disaster. In this regard, we have taken various preventive measures as safeguard of Covid19.
